Oil Pull Up Leather Shoes

These are medieval-style leather boots, often identified as Viking turn shoes or early medieval booties. They are characterized by their simple, hand-stitched construction, typically using vegetable-tanned leather and a lace-up or string closure at the ankle.

Design: These boots are based on historical archaeological finds, such as those from Haithabu (Hedeby)

Construction: Traditionally made as “turn shoes,” where the shoe is sewn inside-out and then turned right-side out to hide the seams and protect the stitching from wear.

Material: Usually crafted fromĀ  leather with thicknesses ranging from 1.5 mm to 1.8mm for the upper and approximately 5mm for the leather sole.

Usage: They are popular for historical reenactments, Live Action Role Playing (LARP), and Renaissance faires due to their authentic look.
